What are people saying about Polynesian Village Luau? Please let us know how we did! Send your review, comments, questions to info@polynesianvillageluau.com. Mahalo!!! "Great Experience ... Great Value" My Wife and I have 3 kids aged 5 to 16 and we all enjoyed the entire experience at the Polynesian Village. The food was delicious, the activities were fun and the show was great. "Best luau ever! Sooo much fun for all ages!!" Wow, what great staff! Our entire family had the best time ever, including our two teenagers! The staff were sooo funny and the entire night was an experience we will never forget. We plan on going back next year and we plan on going again! Thank you to everyone at the Polynesian Village Luau. What a great time we all had! I have the Best birthday ever!! "Unforgettable: the highlight of my vacation" During my Maui trip, I researched affordable (less than $80) and authentic luaus for my bf's bday. After all that work, I had no success. So, I decided to take a break for some shaved ice at Ululani's Shaved Ice. While in line, I noticed the flyers on display for $10 off at the Polynesian Village Luau (in Kihei). This meant Only $70 with a coupon! BINGO! I made a same-day reservation and am SO glad i did! Upon arrival, the staff greeted us with a shell necklace. Everyone was so hospitable! It turns out, this luau is entirely family-operated, not corporate owned like the rest. The event was so fun and interactive. It truly was an authentic Polynesian luau and is the best luau I have ever experienced. The chief (aka John) was so funny. His family treated us like family. Moreover, they educate the audience about the Polynesian culture with performances and hands-on activities (I.e. Lei making and traditional cooking, etc). If you are looking for a genuine, traditional, outdoor, and intimate luau, do not not miss this experience. Every moment was unforgettable. Yummy buffet, smoothies, turkey, fresh fish. Even better: Free parking. You will love it!! "A fun event for all!" If you are staying in the Kihei area of Maui, the closest Luaus areat the Marriott in Wailea or the Polynesian Village Luau next to the Aston Maui Lu Resort. The latter is most enjoyable and at a great location. One gets to try lei making, spear throwing and Poi balls. And that is before the Luau. We have been to others and one can argue that the variety of food is limited, but it is still very good. There is the added attraction of actual Native style food cooked over hot stones. The highlight of the entire evening is the quality of the show that is performed by a variety of very skilled dancers and performers. I can attest that the quality is as good as there is in all cases. The various dances from Tahitian to Hawaiian are excellent. The host will keep you laughing through the night and the fire dancer will amaze you. Oh yes, beware of the Moire warrior and his wild tongue! Make the effort to see this one…you won’t be sorry! "Very enjoyable night!" We've been to many different luaus in Maui and decided to try this new one since it was in Kihei where we were staying. We left at the end of the night with big smiles on our faces, full bellies and memories of a great night of entertainment. It is a very intimate luau with comfy seats around nice sized tables, personalized service and lots of chances for fun audience participation. Talented dancers and a few little keiki ones. Good food and lots of it. A chance to make your own flower lei, throw a spear and sample food fresh out of the imu. Thanks to the Polynesian Village family. We will definitely return to the Polynesian Village Luau on our next visit to Maui! "Great luau for the family!" We recently attended this new luau in Kihei, and the whole family enjoyed it. It is very kid-friendly with lei making, coconut painting/decorating, "fishing" for a goodie bag, bounce house etc.- all included in the price of the luau. The entertainment is interactive and lively. The food was good and they even had hot dogs and mac n cheese for kids if they didn't care for the main buffet line. The had great smoothies, plus yummy cookies and tapioca for dessert. Our kids absolutely loved this luau and they keep saying they can't wait to go back again sometime. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. It is a smaller luau so it feels more like a big family gathering than an overcrowded impersonal show like some of the others tend to be. It was also nice to sit in big comfy chairs around a smaller table instead of squished like sardines into folding chairs at long banquet tables. We all had a great time - thank you Polynesian Village! |
